Mahavtar Babaji gave kriya yoga to the world particularly for householders through Lahiri Mahasaya in 1861. This event was the revival of the same science that Lord Krishna gave millenniums ago to Arjuna.
By the practice of its techniques one discovers by personal realisation the answer tothe eternal question “what is the truth about oneself & god”.
After about 150 years the idol of Lahiri Mahasaya along with the picture of his wife Guru Mate rev Kashimani Devi has been installed on Kartic Poornima day (10 Nov 2011) at Magahia near Jaunpur(U.P.)at his ahram by his greatgrand daughter Rev Smt Bharati Mukherjee&a senior & advanced householder Krikaban Dr birendra Prasad,V.S.M.& Rev smt Uma Devi,Spiritual head of the ashram.

“I awoke around two or three o’clock in the morning on January 5th, and saw Lahiri Mahasaya in the greatest blaze of light in which he has ever manifested to me. Then, one by one, Sri Yukteswar, Babaji, and Master [Paramahamsa Yogananda] appeared. Master lifted me out of the body and we floated together over many gatherings of people. Master blessed each group as we floated over it. We were not walking, but floating overhead. It seemed as though Master wanted all the people to know that I was with him. I was with Master a long time, from two or three o’clock until nine o’clock-the longest I have ever been with him in this way. Master is very busy there, just as busy as he was when he lived here-helping the people in those other spheres, teaching them the way of salvation and how to achieve, their own Self-realization.”
